| ELIGIBILITY |
To be considered for the award, applicants should satisfy all of the following criteria: |
| 1:) |
Be Jamaican Nationals; |
| 2) |
Have successfully completed the First Year of the LL.B programme at the University of the West Indies |
| 3) |
Have attained distinction (namely, Grade A) in at least two (2) law subjects in the UWI First Year LL.B exams; |
| 4) |
Be no more than 25 years of age on September 1 of the year of the award |
| 5) |
Be a person of good character and possess leadership qualities |

| CONDITIONS |
The awardee will be required to serve in Jamaica for a period of three (3) years immediately following completion of the course of study. In addition, the awardee will be required to accept employment with Myers, Fletcher & Gordon as a Law student (on the usual terms) during all or part of the two (2) summers following the 3rd and 4th years of legal study. |

| METHOD OF SELECTION |
Applicants shall be short-listed and interviewed by a panel comprising UWI personnel and Myers, Fletcher & Gordon representatives. |
